Mustafa Kemal (Ataturk) and the Modernization of Turkey

Ataturk or the founder of the turks as the turkish people called him was a man like many other he wanted change. Many leader like MLK jr and Gandhi were some of these they hated something in their life time and died trying to change it. Mustafa kemal was the same way he didn't like they ways of the Ottoman people. Like how they dressed, how everyone had to wear the fez he didn't like that so he gave speeches telling people to wear what the europeans wore hats, pants, shirts, and ties. Secular means of or pertaining to worldly things or to things that are not regarded as religious, spiritual, or sacred; temporal.
