Apartheid was a system that made it legal to be racist to Africans from 1948 to 1993. various races were separated into different regions, and discrimination against people of color was not only acceptable, but legally entrenched, with whites having priority housing, jobs, education, and political power. Although South Africa was heavily criticized for the system, it was not until 1991 that the legal system of apartheid began to be broken down, and in 1993 was thrown out altogether with the election of Nelson Mandela, the first black democratically elected President of South Africa. The term is also used more generally around the world to refer to systemic racism which is tolerated, rather than confronted.
The reason that he was a hero wan because in 1960, the African National Congress was banned, and Mandela was one of the founding members of Umkhonto we Sizwe, a violent civil rights organization. His membership was shortlived, however; in 1962, after traveling out of the country to speak about the situation in South Africa and receive military training, Mandela was imprisoned for life, and not released until 1990. The African National Congress was reformed in 1991, as apartheid began to be dismantled, and Mandela was elected President of the organization, going on to take office as President of South Africa in 1994, serving through 1999. In 1993, he won the Nobel Peace Prize apartheid in South Africa. in recognition for his efforts to end.

I think that this film captured the holocaust very well the brutality of the camps where on point and very accurate. For me the most powerfuol scene in the movie was when they took all the children from the camp and you see all the kids trying to run away. That part for me was a sad part seeing all the kids being taken from their parents that was powerful. The part of the movie that will stay with me forever is the part where you see that kid trying to hide and he cant find a good place to hide so he hides in the toilet.

When i saw this documentary i first thought that this is so wrong how can anybody be so cruel. This mass killing is a crime against humanity it shouldn't have gone on for that long. I thought that this film wasvery powerful showing the actual footage from the camp powerful stuff. "Schindler's List" pails in comparison to this documentry it just doesn't give you the same experience as actually being there. The documentry definitly captures it better than the Hollywood version. The reason that i say this is because you feel more inclined to the experiences
from seeing inside the camp seeing the fingernail mark in the roof of the gas chambers. It almost makes you feel as if you were there.

The treaty was a document that ended WW1 it also was like a list of expecnces for germany as a results of the war.The Treaty of Versailles was the peace settlement signed after World War One Russian Revolution and other events in Russia.It was signed at the palace of versialles, thats where it got its name. some of the rules of the treaty were that germany had to give up all the land that they had,also they had to give up alot of their economic strenghts. i think that it was fair because they caused alot of damage and killed alot of people and they should pay for what they did. had ended in 1918 and in the shadow of the

Ataturk or the founder of the turks as the turkish people called him was a man like many other he wanted change. Many leader like MLK jr and Gandhi were some of these they hated something in their life time and died trying to change it. Mustafa kemal was the same way he didn't like they ways of the Ottoman people. Like how they dressed, how everyone had to wear the fez he didn't like that so he gave speeches telling people to wear what the europeans wore hats, pants, shirts, and ties. In the movie, Gandhi wanted to help his country to be free. So something he did was made his own clothes and boycotted the brittish clothes he also showed his people how to make clothes.
When his people started using violence to fight the brittish Gandhi fasted until the stopped.Gandhi's philosophy was not to use violence he protested and held public meeting to show civil disobidence. The only reason that India got there independence was because of Gandhi if they didn't have him they would still belong to the brittish. One of the main factors in this event was the fact that the brittish were in WW1 so they really had no money and they lost alot of men in the war.

Some of the hardships that the europeans had to face in africa were the rough terrain and exremly hot climate. It was strange that they named the lake after the Queen because it wasn't even a colonie of england yet. The unfair part about it was that the europeans had guns and the africans had spears. thats why the europeons beat the africans so easily

karl mark did not like the industrial revolution . because Karl marx didn't like the way that the workers were treated in the factories. He thought it was unfair to treat children the way that they did. the reason that he invented communism is so that everyone will be treated fairly and force to work long and hard for no money. this was a great idea at the time people join unions that supported these ideas.

Im nationalistic because i love to watch and play football and all american sport. I also show im nationalistic by voting when i turn 18. The declaration of independence was the reason why thathappened.But who was the one behind the declaration? Thomas Jefferson? no it was John locke.
"Though the familiar use of the Things about us, takes off our Wonder; yet it cures not our Ignorance." those were the words of
john locke. What he meant by that was that people are blinded by there idea and are ignorant to the truth. He was right that is why they wanted to make their own country to break away from the opression of the english king.

Copernicus was the one that had the theory of heliocentric. That the sun is the center of our solar sysytem. Heliocentrism Was the name of the theory that all the members of the church believed in. Those who did study his work intact often did so in secret. They were called Copernicans.
Galileo was an astronomer he was against the churches idea of heliocentrism. He believed that the earth was the center of the solar system. The church did not like that he was not a believer of what they believe. Galileo was a religous man he had a daughter that was a Nun.
The theory of heliocentism was the one that came fisrt. This was the romancatholic churches theory and they were dead wrong. It wasn't until
100 years later when a new theory came about. The theory of goecentrism this was Galileo's theory and he was right.
For going against the church Galileo was sentenced to be burned at the stake. On the circumstances thats his daughter was a Nun he got a lighter sentence. He just had to do house arrest or excommunication.

The scientific method. The scientific method is the steps that scientist use to go firth and conduct an experiment. The steps are state the problem,create a hypothesis,create the experiment,then do the experiment, then record the results of the experiment. Next you put your data in a graph or table. Then you make your conclusion of what you* learned from that experiment and what changes you could have made to make your experiment better. An example of this is, my problem is that my brand of paper towels is not absorbant enough. Question which brand of paper towels is the most absorbant.Hypothesis I think that bounty is the most absorbant paper towel.Experiment fill up 3 cups about 1 inch up then take 2 sheets of each brand bounty, charmin, and fantastic. Then put the paper towel in and letb it sit for about 1 minute then take them out and put them in another cup and see how much water is left in the cup and how much is dripping in the new cup. Then record your results in a data table. Then write your conclusion.

Evolution is one of the questions thats have rattled the minds of scientist all over the world. this is a long going debate on what theory is right religous or scientific. Evolution is based on the adaption of the species over a long period of time to make us look the way that we do now. Some scientist believe that we evolved from primate because they have similar gene patterns like humans. This does not constitute that the theory is right or wrong but it makes a compelling arguement.
Creation is based on the stories told in the bible. They theory is that the whole world was created by god that he created all the living things in the world and all of the envirorment as well. This theory contridicts the big bang theory the scientist rely on. this theory is the most believed theory because of all the reiligons in the world that read the bible
